Year 7 Reading Challenge
Every year the Library runs in conjunction with the English Department a Year 7 Reading Challenge. Running for six weeks per form throughout the year, each form attempts to read as many of the set books as possible. Each child is required to choose one title from the six genres and successfully answer three questions about that story. Those pupils who read one from each of the genres during the allotted time is awarded a certificate of merit, those reading two from each genre is awarded a certificate of excellence. At the end of the year the form who has read the most books quite often is awarded some form of treat via their English Teacher.
